"Consiglierei un miglioramento nella viabilità da e per Amalfi con l’ introduzione di semafori che consentano un passaggio più agevole nelle strette strade extraurbane, minori ritardi e più sicurezza anche degli autisti."

"The village of Amalfi was the highlight of our time in the area. We explored Positano as well, but Amalfi was our favorite. Roads were crazy and hotel traffic up the main street was disruptive to the idyllic setting. "

"Me, my wife and our son came to Amalfi for a long weekend. We always dreamed of a trip to Amalfi because of the stunning views, architecture and food. However, we left feeling a little disappointed.
Let me explain -
The food and architecture lived up to expectations. However, we did not like that the beaches were packed with sun loungers and umbrella’s owned by private restaurants and bars charging 40-50 euros per sun lounger.. with tiny spaces for non-paying people to enjoy the beach (we paid for the sun loungers but only because there was no space in the tiny free zone available). Beaches are naturally occurring and should be accessible and enjoyed by all, not just those with money. It is also very ugly to have so many sun loungers and umbrella’s on such small beaches.
We left feeling like nature (beaches) is being exploited and ruined for financial gain. We also felt like tourists were being exploited as a result. We’ve never been to any beach in the world where in order to enjoy a beach you have to pay 150+ euros (for families). It isn’t ethical.
It also ruins the natural beauty of Amalfi which is why people go.
I presume the local council issue licenses to local bars and restaurants who then financially exploit the beaches and tourists. I think this needs to be looked into otherwise it will deter people from returning, like us.

"Sita bus schedules should be more clear. Is there a service direct from Amalfi to Salerno airport? I have a photo of a schedule but the man in the green jacket didn’t know!
Better maps of all the stair ways and back street passages.
Repair the Valley de Ferriere foot path"

"We waited for 40 minutes at an intermediate bus stop on the way out of Amalfi to go to Ravello. A bus passed by but didn’t stop, so we had to walk to the main bus station in Amalfi. There, we waited for another 30 minutes. We stayed until the scheduled departure time, and even waited an extra 15 minutes just in case it arrived early—but the bus never came. Unfortunately, we couldn’t visit the village of Ravello because of this."
